At present, encryption and security chips are generally used short-range HF RFID technology to achieve, but the new label allows the vehicle pass the security chip for identification, to monitor the highway payment and sensitive areas of vehicle access. The security windshield tag is made of NXP Ucode DNA chip, and provides dynamic 128-bit AES encryption between the tag and the reader communication. Another unique feature of 128-bit AES key authentication can ensure that only the original tag can be used. The tag also offers 448 bits EPC memory, up to 3Kb of user memory, and 96-bit TID and 48-bit UID.

Ucode DNA is a passive EPC Gen2 UHD RFID tag that enables secure authentication by using different dynamic passwords for each read event. By requiring verification of each server password, Ucode DNA can be placed for tagging and cloning. Each tag which use Ucode DNA chip carries an unique encryption key, and provides a pattern for each dynamic password update.
